Disbursement of Farmers Support Fund for Green-Skin Grapefruit Planting and Care Project

Granting capital to the Farmers Support Fund for the project of planting and caring for green-skinned grapefruit trees for farmers.

Accordingly, the Farmers' Support Fund of Tuong Da Commune Farmers' Association has disbursed 75 million VND to 5 members participating in the project, equivalent to 15 million VND/member, for a term of 36 months, with preferential interest rates and no need to mortgage assets.

It is known that the project members will provide additional capital of 10 million VND from the family. The disbursed capital will be used to renovate the garden, equip quality seedlings, biological fertilizers and other costs for cultivating green-skinned grapefruit according to VietGAP standards.

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tuong Da Commune, Nguyen Bang Giang, said: This is the first step in forming a linkage in cultivating and producing green-skinned grapefruit in a safe and sustainable manner in the locality. Promoting the association's role as a companion and supporter in helping members and farmers develop a practical economy in modern times in the integration trend. Gradually participating in the clean agricultural product supply chain, promoting the expansion of the agricultural product consumption market for local farmers.

On this occasion, the Farmers' Association of Tuong Da commune held a launching ceremony for the Professional Farmers' Association for growing and caring for green-skinned grapefruit trees according to VietGAP standards in Thanh Hung hamlet, with 6 members participating, with a total area of ​​0.3 - 1.4 hectares/member. The association helps farmers growing green-skinned grapefruit exchange production experiences, access science and technology applied to cultivation, create quality green-skinned grapefruit products that are favored by the consumer market, and increase income for local farmers.
