Women of Phu Cu district spread good models and good deeds

Outstanding are the charitable activities to help poor women, women in difficult circumstances and orphans to improve their lives.

Going with the district Women's Union officials to give money to support orphans, we witnessed tears of happiness and touching handshakes. Small deeds and acts of sharing clearly show the sincerity of women to the unfortunate. Orphaned by both parents, Nguyen Dang Truong Chinh, Dinh Cao commune, is living with his elderly grandparents. Understanding that difficult situation, from 2021 to now, the district Women's Union has called on benefactors to sponsor him, with a support level of 1 million VND/month until he turns 18 years old. In addition to providing material support, the officials and women's union members in the commune and district also regularly visit his house to visit and encourage him and his family. Touched by the sincerity of the aunts and uncles, Chinh promised to always try hard to study well so as not to disappoint everyone's help.

Learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings through specific actions, in recent times, each cadre and member of the Phu Cu District Women's Union has actively shared and helped poor women, orphans, and people in difficult circumstances, bringing positive values ​​to the community. Currently, the Women's Union at all levels in the district has connected with philanthropists, companies, and businesses to sponsor 62 orphans with support from 500,000 VND/month/child or more. At the same time, every year, in coordination with sectors, unions, socio-political organizations, and philanthropists, we visit and give more than 800 gifts to poor women and women in difficult circumstances.

Coming to Phan Sao Nam commune, many people are surprised by the village roads lined with flowers and green trees. From the skillful and responsible hands of the commune's cadres and women's union members, the flower roads with many kinds of flowers competing to bloom, contributing to making the homeland more and more beautiful.

Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, President of the Women's Union of Phan Sao Nam Commune, said: Based on the fact that some rural roads often have the situation of littering, polluting the environment, the Women's Union of the commune mobilizes and propagates women to join hands to plant flowers on both sides of the roads. Although it was difficult at first, with high determination, every week, members plant short sections of the road, and after the trees grow well, they continue to cut the trees and plant new sections. Wherever flowers are planted, the environment is clean and beautiful. This work contributes to the locality completing the criteria for building a model new rural area.

In emulation to study and follow Uncle Ho, in recent years, the Women's Union at all levels in Phu Cu district has proactively and closely linked with the key tasks of the union's work and emulation movements launched by the union at higher levels. Focusing on implementing the motto of learning from Uncle Ho from the simplest and most practical things; focusing on helping each other develop the economy , get rich legitimately, practice thrift, protect the environment, and show mutual love... From there, many good models and creative ways have emerged in studying and following the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh such as: Model of classifying and treating organic waste at households; Women's flower street, Pot of loving porridge, Godmother, Clean scrap, Compassionate address, Livelihood garden...

Currently, the Women's Union at all levels in the district have built 70 flower roads with a total length of nearly 50km; 20 "3 clean hamlets" models; established 26 "Women to limit the use of plastic bags" clubs; 26 green, clean, beautiful branches; 980 "Clean houses, clean alleys" "Clean houses - beautiful gardens" models...

Comrade Le Thi Huyen, Chairwoman of the District Women's Union, said: The models of the unions at all levels have created a strong influence and brought about practical results, contributing significantly to social security, poverty reduction, and socio-economic development of the locality.
