NDO - On May 8, on the occasion of Singapore's successful organization of the 14th National Assembly election with the victory belonging to the People's Action Party (PAP), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a phone call with Secretary General of the People's Action Party, Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong.

During the phone call, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh once again congratulated Singapore on successfully organizing the election. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also conveyed General Secretary To Lam's congratulations to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and the leadership of the People's Action Party.

The Prime Minister said that the election results with an increase in the popular vote not only demonstrated the trust and support of the Singaporean people for the correct leadership of the People's Action Party and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong personally, but also clearly demonstrated the inheritance and promotion of the core values ​​that created the "Singapore miracle" of which Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his colleagues are typical representatives.

The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that with the mission entrusted to him by the Singaporean people, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will continue to lead Singapore to overcome all challenges and continue to develop stably and prosperously.

Discussing Vietnam-Singapore relations, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two sides promote economic cooperation and expand Singapore's investment in Vietnam, especially in the fields of high technology, renewable energy, smart infrastructure and sustainable urban development.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also suggested that Vietnam and Singapore strengthen cooperation in the fields of wind power export, carbon credit exchange, financial innovation, seaport development and transnational crime prevention and control.

Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong sincerely thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife for the warm welcome during his recent visit to Vietnam and this phone call.

Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong also thanked General Secretary To Lam for sending his congratulatory message, demonstrating the deep connection between the people and senior leaders of the two countries; sharing that the victory of the People's Action Party in the election was thanks to the utmost efforts of party members to strengthen the trust of Singaporean people in the People's Action Party.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to urge relevant ministries and sectors to actively implement the important results achieved by the two sides during recent high-level visits, further strengthen exchanges and dialogues through Party channels and promote people-to-people exchanges; and requested the two countries' Foreign Ministries to closely coordinate to complete the Action Program of the two sides and promptly develop an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period this year.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the young leadership delegation of the People's Action Party to visit Vietnam to share practical experience in party building, state management and connecting with the masses.

The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, in the context of the world and the region witnessing rapid changes and enormous challenges, especially in the international trade and investment environment.

The two sides agreed to increase consultation and coordination, and support each other at regional and international forums, especially in ASEAN and APEC, for peace, stability and common interests of the region and the world.

The two Prime Ministers agreed to discuss bilateral cooperation and other issues in detail on the occasion of the upcoming ASEAN Summit in Malaysia.
