Representatives of the Women's Union of Mo Cay Nam district and sponsors started construction of the "Great Unity" house for female members with housing difficulties.

The program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" has received special attention from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and has been widely launched throughout the province since the beginning of 2025. With the strong direction and support of the political system, the Provincial Women's Union has quickly developed a specific action plan and assigned mobilization targets to each level of the union.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union launched a movement for members and women in the whole province to join hands to contribute at least 2,000 VND/person to raise funds to build and repair houses for members and women in difficult circumstances. Although the amount is not large, but with the spirit of "each person a little, contributing a lot", the contribution of 2,000 VND becomes a specific, practical action, spreading the spirit of humanity and social responsibility in each member.

Communication and propaganda work on the program’s objectives and significance has also been strongly implemented by all levels of the association through branch and group meetings, mass media, social networks and grassroots broadcasting systems. Many models, typical examples and creative approaches have been shared and replicated to inspire and spread the spirit of solidarity for disadvantaged women.

In addition, the association also promotes the role of prestigious people in society to connect and mobilize both material and spiritual support for the program. Many creative mobilization models and effective methods have been recognized, contributing to promoting a stronger movement. Outstanding and active collectives and individuals in housing support for disadvantaged members have also been recognized and rewarded promptly, creating a driving force for exciting competition.

As of April 25, 2025, the whole province has mobilized over 5.3 billion VND, of which women's union members voluntarily contributed over 376 million VND through the 2,000 VND/person movement. This is a testament to the sense of responsibility and sharing of each member, although the contribution is small but very meaningful, demonstrating the consensus with the union organization to care for disadvantaged women. Regarding specific results, the whole province has built 81 new houses and repaired 6 houses for union members and women in difficult circumstances. Many outstanding units such as: The Provincial Women's Union mobilized 29 houses, nearly 1.6 billion VND; Binh Dai district mobilized 10 new houses, more than 690 million VND; Mo Cay Nam district mobilized 10 new houses, repaired 1 house, with a total cost of more than 680 million VND; Ba Tri and Giong Trom districts mobilized 9 new houses each.

In addition to cash contributions, in some localities, women members also voluntarily contribute labor days, participate in site clearance, construction work, cooking, and support disadvantaged households in the process of building and repairing houses. These simple but humane tasks help reduce construction costs and add spiritual value to the completed houses of love.

Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Vo Ai Hoa said: Supporting housing for members and women in difficult circumstances has become a regular activity, demonstrating the concern of the union at all levels for the lives of women and children. Through the houses built, we hope to contribute to the province in implementing social security work well, taking care of the poor in general, women and children in particular, creating conditions for women to have a stable place to live, thereby feeling secure in working, starting a business, and rising out of poverty sustainably.

“In the coming time, the Provincial Women’s Union will continue to strengthen coordination with agencies, socio-political organizations, businesses and people to mobilize resources for the program. At the same time, it will integrate activities to support livelihoods, provide legal advice, and provide life skillseducation , etc. to help members and poor women develop comprehensively and confidently integrate into modern society, leaving no one behind,” added Vice President of the Provincial Women’s Union Vo Ai Hoa.
