Speaking at the opening of the Press Center, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Director of the Press Center, said that the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) is a particularly important political event of national scale. The event is organized by the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Ho Chi Minh City.
The 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day received enthusiastic and strong support from the national and international press (169 international reporters from 39 news agencies and 17 countries; more than 630 reporters from 81 domestic press agencies registered to work). Therefore, welcoming and creating conditions for reporters and editors to convey information and images of the ceremony to compatriots nationwide and people around the world is extremely important.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh also emphasized that the Press Center for Propaganda of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification plays a very important role in the success of press activities at the Ceremony. Therefore, relevant departments, branches and units need to coordinate closely and effectively; create the most favorable conditions for press activities; organize for leaders of press agencies, reporters and editors to work most effectively, ensuring continuity during the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, especially taking photos, transmitting images and live audio for the Ceremony.
Also after the opening of the Press Center, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam Post Corporation to organize a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)" to contribute to widely promoting the stature of the era and historical significance of the Great Spring Victory in 1975.

The stamp set includes 02 stamps and 01 block, with the stamp size of 32 x 43 mm, the block is 70 x 100 mm. The stamps have a face value of 4,000 VND and 15,000 VND. The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation).
The stamps are presented in strong colors, using three main colors: red, yellow and blue - also the colors of the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam. The stamp designs are presented vividly, standing out against the background of the image of a white dove spreading its wings amid the "red of the earth, the blue of the sky" - a symbol of peace, solidarity and a bright future.
The stamp set "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)" was issued nationwide at provincial and municipal post offices and transaction centers. This is a profound gratitude to generations of fathers and brothers who have sacrificed their blood and youth for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. At the same time, the stamp set is also a strong message, contributing to propaganda, education, fostering national pride and arousing the passionate patriotism in every Vietnamese heart.
