Many workers have to work in the sun to make a living, while passersby find every way to shield themselves.

This year, at 60 years old, Mr. Khanh (from Thanh Hoa ) still has to work as a motorbike taxi driver from 5am despite the scorching heat in Hanoi.

"It's terribly hot today, and I have high blood pressure so sometimes I can't breathe. It's hard work, but I have to go to work. Nowadays, motorbike taxis are becoming less and less popular. If I don't go to work, I don't know how to make ends meet," said Mr. Khanh.

According to health experts, the hot sunny days in Hanoi pose many potential risks that can seriously affect health.

Among them, heat stroke, sunstroke and stroke often occur, so people need to take appropriate preventive measures and health care.

People at high risk of heat stroke and heatstroke on hot days such as the elderly, children and pregnant women, people who often work outdoors such as farmers, workers at metallurgical plants, brick kilns, construction sites, people with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease need to pay special attention to their health...

Therefore, to avoid heat stroke, experts warn that the above cases should avoid direct exposure to sunlight between 10am and 4pm, when the sunlight is strongest. At the same time, they should drink water regularly, divided into many times a day to rehydrate the body.

In addition, according to experts, it is necessary to use long clothes, hats, caps and sunglasses to protect the skin from the sun. For those who often work outdoors, it is necessary to rest in a cool place after about 45 minutes or 1 hour of working in the hot sun.
