In 1965, Ha Tinh entered the most difficult period of fighting against the destructive war of the American imperialists - both building and being a solid rear base for the Southern battlefield. At that time, Ha Tinh Construction Bank (the predecessor of BIDV Ha Tinh) was established from the Disbursement Department of Ha Tinh Finance Department.
Born in a special historical context, right after its establishment, Ha Tinh Construction Bank was given the important responsibility of providing capital for national defense economic projects, serving the resistance war against the US. That was a difficult but also glorious period for each officer of the first bank branch of the province. From the lowlands to the mountains, strategic routes such as: 1A, 15A, 21, 22, oil pipelines, hot spots such as Dong Loc Intersection, Linh Cam ferry..., there was no place without the footprints of Ha Tinh Construction Bank officers. In the fierce bombs and bullets, bank officers still ensured "correct, adequate, timely provision" to serve the resistance war, national construction, becoming an inseparable part of the economic bloodline during wartime.
After peace was restored, the bank continued to affirm its role in providing finance for important infrastructure projects such as the Ke Go irrigation project, Linh Cam irrigation project, roads, factories and enterprises, contributing to the restoration of production, stabilizing people's lives, rebuilding the homeland and moving forward with the country on the path of innovation.
Through many historical periods, changing from the name of Ha Tinh Construction Bank to Vietnam Construction and Investment Bank - Ha Tinh Branch (1981 - 1990), Vietnam Development and Investment Bank - Ha Tinh Branch (1990 - 2012), Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) - Ha Tinh Branch (from 2012 - present), BIDV Ha Tinh has demonstrated its mettle, sense of responsibility, overcoming difficulties, adapting quickly and always completing all tasks excellently in each historical period. Those contributions and dedications have fostered achievements, traditions, and pride of generations of cadres, thereby spreading the image and brand of BIDV to the community and society.
Banking activities are not always smooth, there are difficult times and stages, but BIDV Ha Tinh team does not falter, but becomes more determined, arouses aspirations and perseveres to overcome.
The average growth rate in recent years has reached 14-15%/year; the scale of operations and total assets to date have reached more than 18,000 billion VND, more than double that of 2020.
In particular, the customer base has been strongly developed. Up to now, BIDV Ha Tinh Branch is serving nearly 5,000 customers who are enterprises, economic organizations and more than 215,000 individual customers.
BIDV Ha Tinh Branch is regularly in the top of the region and system in terms of digital customer development speed. For 6 consecutive years from 2019 to present, the branch has been considered by BIDV Headquarters to have completed its tasks excellently.
With the mission for the community, BIDV in general and BIDV Ha Tinh Branch in particular always take the lead in accompanying the locality to effectively implement social security programs. Every year, BIDV Ha Tinh spends tens of billions of VND to build schools, medical stations, flood-proof houses, charity houses, purchase equipment for the health and education sectors, scholarship funds for poor students overcoming difficulties, and give Tet gifts to the poor on the occasion of Tet holiday...
It is not only the responsibility but also the sentiment of BIDV Ha Tinh to the people and the land that has nurtured and witnessed the development of the branch over the past 60 years.
Those tireless efforts have helped BIDV Ha Tinh to be honored with many noble awards: Third-class Labor Medal (1997); Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister (1997, 2001); many certificates of merit and excellent emulation flags from the State Bank of Vietnam, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee and BIDV Vietnam.
These achievements and traditions are the crystallization of countless contributions and continuous efforts of generations of leaders, cadres and workers through the periods. We appreciate and are very grateful for the attention and close direction of BIDV's leadership, the support of departments and centers at the headquarters and member units in the system.
At the same time, we would like to express our deep gratitude for the attention and timely guidance of the provincial leaders over the years, and the support of the local government throughout the development journey. In particular, we always appreciate and are grateful for the close cooperation, trust and loyal support of our customers and partners - those who have helped BIDV Ha Tinh overcome both favorable and challenging periods.

The year 2025, the 60th anniversary of its establishment, is also an important moment when the country and homeland enter a new stage of development, a stage of prosperous and strong development. Realizing the goals, orientations and visions of BIDV to become the leading "BIG - STRONG - GREEN" bank in Southeast Asia; in the TOP 100 Asian banks by 2030; with a vision to 2045 in the TOP 50 Asian banks, the Party Congress of BIDV Ha Tinh Branch for the 2025-2030 term has determined the motto "Solidarity - Responsibility - Efficiency - Accelerating transformation" with the goal of making a breakthrough in scale growth and operational efficiency.
To realize that goal, BIDV Ha Tinh identifies major directions and focuses:
+ Improve the efficiency of customer base development, put customers at the center of all activities; develop both breadth and depth, especially developing digital customer base.
+ Focus on building and training a team of high-quality staff, considering the human factor as an endogenous strength, the driving force and goal of development. Continuously improve the material and spiritual life of workers.
+ Promote comprehensive digital transformation, develop diverse digital banking products, consider this as a driving force for growth and competitiveness. Apply digitalization in all aspects of operations to increase labor productivity, quality control and operational efficiency.
+ Continue to promote the mission for the community through social security activities, foster corporate culture, and widely spread the image and brand of BIDV.
