The dream of the lecture hall of the students of Ha Tinh Orphanage

Doan Trung Nguyen - a 12A2 student at Phan Dinh Phung High School ( Ha Tinh City) was born into a poor family. Nguyen lost his mother at the age of 3, then his father left without any news. He was adopted by the Ha Tinh Orphanage at a very young age. Despite such adversity, the student always strived to overcome difficulties and rise up, making his teachers and friends extremely impressed.

During 12 years of school, Nguyen has always been an excellent student, receiving many certificates of merit for his efforts. Entering this final stage, Nguyen is studying day and night to achieve his dream of becoming an economics student.

Doan Trung Nguyen tries hard to study every day to get good results.

Doan Trung Nguyen shared: "Every day I will wake up at 4:30 to review and practice questions. This year's exam will have many changes and new questions. Although I am very worried, I am quite confident because I have the attention of my fathers, mothers and everyone."

Among the four candidates this year from the village, two of them chose the teaching profession: Tran Minh Quan and Phan Thi Khanh Huyen. Growing up together in the village, Quan and Huyen both dreamed of becoming teachers to continue the journey of the mothers in the village.

Quan chose block C to take the exam for Geography Education - Hanoi National University of Education, while Huyen pursued Preschool Education - Ha Tinh University to be able to sow love and care for children in the future.

Tran Minh Quan confided: "To prepare for the exam, we all try to improve our knowledge. In addition, in our free time, the four of us will help and guide each other to achieve the best results."

Candidates help each other review, test knowledge and practice difficult questions.

Every time the exam season approaches, the adult students from Ha Tinh Orphanage take the time to call, email, and text to encourage the 12th graders. From the distant lecture hall, they not only send their best wishes to the students but also share their experiences in studying, organizing their time, and keeping their spirits up before the important exam. For the 12th graders, the seniors are not only guides but also hope, proof that from this small village, dreams can reach far.

Nguyen Thi Hong Anh, Faculty of Primary Education (University of Education, Hue University) is a shining example for children at Ha Tinh Orphanage to follow.

Nguyen Thi Hong Anh - a student of the Faculty of Primary Education (University of Education, Hue University) shared: "The 2025 high school graduation exam is a very important exam for 12th grade students. I myself have gone through that stage and understand some of the difficulties. I always believe that the students in the village will be determined and try hard to pass the exam. I wish you courage and confidence to do well on the test and achieve your wishes".

Despite growing up in a situation lacking family affection, the children of Ha Tinh Orphanage still strive to excel in their studies and life. Many of them study at universities with excellent academic results and win scholarships from domestic and foreign organizations. Many of them have stable jobs after graduation, becoming inspirations for the next generation. Notably, in the past 5 years, the village has had 25 12th graders take the high school graduation exam and all 25 of them were admitted to their desired universities.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Orphanage said: "Since the children were in grade 9, we have divided them into streams to encourage them to take the high school entrance exam or learn a trade. In addition to the children's efforts, the unit has also mobilized resources for them to participate in extra classes to improve their knowledge...".

Life may not start as expected, but the journey to the finish line is the result of the tireless efforts of the children at Ha Tinh Orphanage. With the will to excel in their studies, the love and support of their mothers and fathers in the orphanage, and the love, care, support and protection of society, the children will be empowered to fulfill their dreams and write new chapters in their lives.
