On May 31, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police Department stopped and inspected a vehicle with license plate 47B-027.61 traveling in the North-South direction. Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was transporting nearly 112,000 packages of seasoned bamboo shoots. All of the above goods had packaging printed with foreign patterns and words. The value of the goods was approximately 100 million VND.

Previously, on May 28, the provincial police forces also discovered and arrested a car with license plate 37H-024.39 driven by Ha Huy Thin (residing in Dien Chau district, Nghe An ), accompanied by the owner Le Xuan Phu (residing in Do Luong district, Nghe An), transporting animals traveling from North to South. At the time of inspection, there were 180 live pigs on the car, weighing 70-90 kg each. The people involved could not present quarantine certificates and procedural records on the origin of the above animals.

On May 20, Ha Tinh province authorities also discovered and seized more than 1 ton of cattle, fat, and skin of unknown origin, emitting a foul odor, on a truck while it was traveling in the province.

Dirty food, food of unknown origin, food without quality control documents, etc. are becoming a burning issue, causing great insecurity and concern throughout society and eroding consumer confidence.

Candy without labels, without full information, and with labels containing only foreign characters sold in areas around schools is a concern for many parents.

According to the assessment of the authorities, in recent times, although the authorities have made efforts in the fight against dirty food, the situation of trading and transporting dirty food and food of unknown origin in the market of Ha Tinh province is still complicated. Many types of meat sold on the market have not been inspected by veterinary authorities, the use of plant protection chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, growth stimulants and preservatives is not in accordance with regulations, causing environmental pollution as well as residues of these chemicals in food.

In addition, a part of the population does not clearly understand the importance of food safety and the consequences of using dirty food.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and guidance on compliance with food safety laws; promote mass movements to detect and denounce violations of food security and safety; create public opinion and consumers to condemn and boycott products and goods that do not ensure food safety. Thereby, contributing to limiting and preventing poor quality food on the market."
