In 1989, after being discharged from the army and returning to civilian life, veteran Truong Van Doi started to build a family. With the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the will to overcome difficulties, Mr. Doi gradually overcame difficulties and stabilized his life. Mr. Doi said that after being discharged from the army and returning to his locality, he participated in work at My An B hamlet as the Hamlet Chief. In 2019, he participated in the activities of the My An B hamlet Veterans Association and was elected as the Branch Chief until now.

As the Head of the My An B Hamlet War Veterans Association, Mr. Doi has always been an exemplary person in implementing the Association's work movements. He always cares for and looks after members and war veterans, especially those in difficult circumstances; actively encourages members and war veterans to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, participate in local movements and those launched by the War Veterans Association at all levels, especially the movement "War Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business ".

Mr. Doi and members and war veterans in the association maintain funds well such as: Team Fund, Gratitude Fund, contributing revolving capital to support members and war veterans to invest in developing family economy. The My An B hamlet war veterans association has 23 members, up to now, 75% of the members are good at business, have a comfortable life and are gradually getting rich.

Talking about war veteran Truong Van Doi, Chairman of the War Veterans Association of My Tinh An commune Nguyen Van Tro said that, promoting the good qualities and traditions of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", Mr. Doi has done well in his role as the Head of the War Veterans Association of My An B hamlet.

He has successfully implemented the emulation movements "Exemplary war veterans", "War veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business". With many consecutive years of results, the War Veterans Association of My An B hamlet has excellently completed the assigned tasks with the great contribution of Mr. Doi - an exemplary war veteran, good business.

In particular, implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", "Building new rural areas, civilized urban areas", as the Head of the Veterans Association of My An B hamlet, Mr. Doi actively coordinated with the Party Cell and the Hamlet Management Board to mobilize cadres, members, and veterans to actively participate in the Veterans Club to protect the environment, well manage the roads managed by the Veterans Association, regularly plant trees and ornamental flowers on the roads in My An B hamlet, always take the lead in environmental sanitation activities, salvage water hyacinth, clear the flow of intra-field canals..., contributing to creating a clean, airy and beautiful environment.

In addition, Mr. Doi and his family have always been exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, actively participating in economic development and improving the quality of life. For nearly 3 years, he has boldly converted the old, ineffective dragon fruit garden into growing Malaysian coconuts and purple-flowered lemons.

Currently, his family's 280 Malay coconut trees have been harvested. In addition, he grows purple-flowered lemons in the coconut garden. On average, Mr. Doi's family has an income of nearly 20 million VND per month.

Mr. Doi shared: “Getting rich legitimately is not only a requirement of life, but also the duty and responsibility of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in peacetime. In addition to the War Veterans Association and economic activities, I always encourage family members to work enthusiastically, cultivate and train themselves to become useful citizens for society; actively participate in local activities…”.
