Hai Duong export turnover increased by 12.4% in 5 months

With an increase of 12.4% in the first 5 months of the year compared to the same period last year, Hai Duong's export turnover achieved the highest growth rate in many years.

According to the provincial Statistics Office, the value of Hai Duong's export goods in May reached 979.6 million USD, up 15.7% over the same period last year. In the first 5 months of the year, the total export turnover reached 4,322.1 million USD, up 12.4% over the same period last year.

Although the value of the province's export goods increased lower than the general growth rate of the whole country (the whole country increased by 14%), this is still the highest growth rate in recent years (from 2018 to present). This result is thanks to taking advantage of the benefits brought by FTAs. In addition to traditional export markets such as Korea, Japan, and the European Union (EU), the province's export goods have also reached new markets such as Africa, the Middle East, etc.

In addition, the province's import value in May reached 875.3 million USD, up 17.4% over the same period last year. In the first 5 months, the import turnover reached 3,832.1 million USD, up 19.6%.
