Releasing fish fry to regenerate aquatic resources in the reservoir of Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant

With a large lake area and a capacity of up to 350 million cubic meters of water, Song Ba Ha Hydropower Reservoir is a favorable condition for local people to develop aquaculture. In order to supplement, regenerate and develop aquatic resources in the lake, Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company released 90kg of fish fry into the lake such as grass carp, silver carp, tilapia, etc. These are native fish species that are highly adaptable to natural conditions in the area and play an important role in balancing the aquatic ecosystem.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu, Acting General Director of Song Ba Ha Hydropower Joint Stock Company shared: Releasing fish fry is an annual activity of the company, demonstrating its role and responsibility to the community, contributing to biodiversity and sustainable development of natural aquatic resources in the Song Ba Ha Hydropower Reservoir area.

Releasing fish fry to regenerate aquatic resources is a practical and meaningful activity in terms of socio-economics and ecological environment , demonstrating the company's responsibility through joint actions to protect, restore, and regenerate natural aquatic resources that are increasingly declining , protect the water environment, and maintain ecological balance. Through this activity, the company integrates propaganda for people to change, raise awareness in the conservation and development of natural aquatic resources , limit negative human activities with nature, change the environment affecting the ecosystem, especially the exploitation of aquatic resources by electric pulses, small mesh nets, etc., causing aquatic resources to increasingly decline. Thereby, contributing to raising public awareness in protecting the ecological environment, developing effective and sustainable aquatic exploitation.
