The memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides aims to professionalize e-sports and improve the performance of national teams through the application of science and technology in the management and training of Vietnamese teams.

Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of VIRESA, said that the specific activities for this cooperation will focus on talent exchange, education and training, coordinating the organization of intensive training programs as well as entertainment exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea through e-sports, etc.
"Korea is one of the countries that always leads in achievements at e-sports events. Therefore, we believe that they have enough experience and expertise to help Vietnamese e-sports achieve its goals" - Mr. Do Viet Hung shared.
Previously, in early 2021, VIRESA and KeSPA signed a cooperation agreement to promote the potential and strengths of both sides towards the goal of joint development and promotion towards international professional standards in the field of e-sports. In 04 years, Vietnam and Korea have carried out many activities, from opening forums to organizing friendly events.
This will also be one of the important steps for Vietnamese e-sports to contribute to improving national achievements at upcoming sports events such as SEA Games 33 (December 2025), Asia Youth Games (October 2025), ASIAD 20 (2026), Olympic Esports Games (2027).

Within the framework of the KeSPA Global Esports Forum 2025, the President of VIRESA, with 2 consecutive years of experience as Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of e-sports at SEA Games 31 and 32, also participated in the discussion session to express the perspective of public sector organizing units on the requirements to become an official e-sport.
The KeSPA Global Esports Forum will take place from May 6-7, 2025 in Seoul, South Korea. This year's forum will focus on sustainable development in esports, international standardization, and advanced operating models from Korea.
This is also an opportunity for policymakers, international organizations, national esports federations, and industry representatives to come together to discuss, share, and build practical strategies for the future of the global esports industry.
