Many tourist attractions
In the first three months of 2025, Hoa Binh province recorded positive signs in its tourism sector, welcoming nearly 1.7 million visitors, including approximately 236,000 international tourists. Total revenue from tourism reached VND 1,690 billion, an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period last year and achieving 31.3% of the annual plan. These positive figures reflect the strong recovery of the province's tourism industry amidst intensified promotion, digital transformation, and effective exploitation of its cultural and natural strengths.

Bo Temple - also known as Chua Thac Bo Temple - is a must-visit spiritual tourist destination when visiting and sightseeing around Hoa Binh Lake.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Hoa Binh is the Vietnamese Scientists ' Heritage Park (Bac Phong commune, Cao Phong district). The park features a stunning sunflower field with 50,000 flowers, a love bridge, a book house, a butterfly house, and modern photo spots blended with scientific and cultural elements.
Ms. Tran Thu Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “The space here is both modern and retains a peaceful, romantic atmosphere. I am impressed by the harmonious combination of nature and culture.”
Meanwhile, Mai Chau Hideaway – a resort located in the heart of Hoa Binh Lake – is a popular choice for many international tourists, especially during long holidays like the April 30th - May 1st holiday. Community-based tourism in the Muong villages also made a strong impression. During the April 30th - May 1st holiday, Mo hamlet (Binh Thanh commune, Cao Phong district) inaugurated its Culture and Tourism Week with many unique activities such as: folk game performances, cultural exchanges, and introductions to local cuisine and handicrafts.
Ms. Bui Bao Chieu, Deputy Director of Mo Hamlet Tourism Cooperative, said that the locals are very happy to have many tourists visiting and staying. To ensure a warm welcome for tourists, the cooperative has made thorough preparations, from accommodation to experiential activities, so that each guest feels welcomed.
Strengthening tourism promotion and marketing through communication.
The appeal of tourism in Hoa Binh stems from the diversity of its products and experiences. Visitors to Hoa Binh often choose types of tourism such as community-based tourism, resort tourism, traditional handicraft village tourism, sports, entertainment, and health care. This is an important foundation for the province to continue to orient the development of distinctive products and build brands associated with ethnic cultural identity.
To achieve the impressive results mentioned above, Hoa Binh province has strongly implemented its tourism promotion and communication campaign for 2025. This includes intensified coordination with central and local media agencies. Hoa Binh has also actively participated in events such as the 20th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, thereby expanding the reach and recognition of the local tourism image.
Alongside communication efforts, the province also focuses on applying information technology in managing and serving tourists. The smart tourism portal continues to be effective, providing complete and timely information to tourists. Destination management and tourism business management activities are also gradually being digitized. In the coming time, Hoa Binh will implement digital transformation more extensively according to the guidelines of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to tourism organizations and businesses in the province.
Currently, the province has more than 50 eco-tourism and resort areas, mainly concentrated in Mai Chau, Kim Boi, Luong Son, and Da Bac districts; along with nearly 20 thriving community tourism destinations in Mai Chau, Tan Lac, Cao Phong, and Da Bac. Tourism products are being improved, such as combining relaxation with health care, tourism linked to OCOP products, traditional craft villages, and culinary tourism associated with cultural events...
The synergy of nature, culture, and investment in upgrading tourism products has helped Hoa Binh become the only representative of Vietnam to be selected by a prestigious American magazine as the most attractive destination in the world in 2024. This serves as a driving force for the province's tourism industry to continue its breakthrough, aiming to welcome 4.9 million visitors and achieve revenue of 5,400 billion VND in 2025.
