In the list of candidates recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards of professors in Economics this year, Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Anh is the only female professor.
Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Anh was born in 1974 in Trieu An commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province (old). She graduated from university in 1997, majoring in Finance and Banking at the University of Economics, University of Danang . She then received her master's degree in 2003, majoring in Financial Economics and her doctorate in Economics in 2007 at the University of Quebec in Montréal, Canada.
Ms. Thuy Anh started her academic career as a lecturer at the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics, University of Danang.
After studying in Canada, in 2008, she was Head of the Department of Corporate Finance, Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics, Danang University.

In 2014, she was a Fulbright scholar at the Ross School of Business - University of Michigan (USA). From 2015-2023, she held the position of Vice Principal of the University of Economics, University of Danang.
Then, from 2023, she was Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of the University of Economics, Danang University.
Ms. Thuy Anh was recognized as Associate Professor in 2012, majoring in Economics. Her research interests include: Stock market and corporate performance in crises: The role of institutional environment; The impact of board characteristics and ownership structure on corporate performance; Risk measurement and performance of financial institutions; Da Nang city economy and related issues from the Vietnamese economy.
She has published 68 scientific articles, including 17 scientific articles in prestigious international journals, 50 articles in domestic journals, and 1 conference paper.
Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh has received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the title of Emulation Fighter at the Ministry of Education and Training level and many other awards.
