The activity aims to equip knowledge, update new legal regulations, mechanisms and policies, and at the same time improve organizational, implementation, monitoring and evaluation skills for the team of officials working on poverty reduction.

Participating in the two training courses were 180 trainees who were leaders, experts of the Economic Department, Party cell secretaries or village chiefs, and leaders of mass organizations of villages and hamlets in 19 communes: Khao Mang, Mu Cang Chai, Pung Luong, Che Tao, Lao Chai, Nam Co, Ta Xi Lang, Tu Le, Tram Tau, Hanh Phuc, Phinh Ho, Lien Son, Gia Hoi, Son Luong, Van Chan, Thuong Bang La, Chan Thinh, Nghia Tam, and Cat Thinh.
Each training course lasts for 2 days with the aim of improving the capacity of the team of officials working on poverty reduction at all levels, especially officials at the commune, village and hamlet levels, to effectively implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction. Aiming to support the poor to escape poverty, prevent and limit re-poverty, while ensuring that the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction by 2025 in Lao Cai province is implemented with the right objectives, the right subjects, effectively and sustainably.

During the training, trainees were directly taught by lecturers who are leaders and specialists of the Poverty Reduction Department - Department of Quality and Rural Development, leaders and civil servants of the Employment Service Center - Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province on the following topics: thoroughly grasping the new policies of the Party and State on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2025 - 2030; guiding the development and implementation of projects, poverty reduction models, supporting production development; sharing experiences and effective poverty reduction models at the grassroots level, promoting the role of the community, businesses and the grassroots political system.
In particular, to enhance the ability to apply practical knowledge in program implementation, students also receive career orientation, counseling, job referrals and labor market information.

This is a meaningful and practical activity, contributing to improving management efficiency, enhancing publicity and transparency and consolidating a sustainable foundation for poverty reduction work in Lao Cai province.
It is expected that from November 11 to 14, the Department of Quality and Rural Development will continue to open 2 similar classes for 24 communes, including: Phong Du Ha, Chau Que, Lam Giang, Dong Cuong, Tan Hop, Mau A, Mo Vang, Xuan Ai, Phong Du Thuong, Viet Hong, Luong Thinh, Hung Khanh, Lam Thuong, Luc Yen, Tan Linh, Khanh Hoa, Phuc Loi, Muong Lai, Cam Nhan, Yen Thanh, Thac Ba, Yen Binh, Bao Ai, Tran Yen.
