According to preliminary statistics from the Customs Department ( Ministry of Finance ), by the end of October this year, our country's export turnover reached 391 billion USD, a sharp increase of 16.2% over the same period last year.
Notably, with 76.44 billion USD, Bac Ninh has risen to the top of the country in terms of goods exports in the first 10 months of 2025, officially surpassing Ho Chi Minh City. Compared to the same period last year, Bac Ninh province's export turnover increased sharply by 30.6%.
In October alone, Bac Ninh's goods exports reached more than 9.4 billion USD, accounting for nearly 22.4% of the country's export turnover. In the first 10 months of 2025, Bac Ninh accounted for 19.5% of the country's total export turnover.
In October, Ho Chi Minh City's goods exports reached nearly 7.66 billion USD. In the first 10 months of 2025, Ho Chi Minh City fell from the top to second place.
Hai Phong City maintained its third position with an export turnover of 30.05 billion USD. Ranked 4th and 5th respectively were Phu Tho and Dong Nai , with an export turnover of 29.68 billion USD and 28.75 billion USD.
Thus, these top 5 provinces and cities account for 63.7% of the country's total export turnover in the first 10 months of 2025.
After merging provincial administrative units, these are also the 5 provinces and cities with the largest concentration of industrial parks in our country.
Preliminary statistics from the Customs Department show that many provinces still have very modest export turnover.
Accordingly, in the past 10 months, 4 provinces still had export turnover below the threshold of 100 million USD, including: Cao Bang reached 42.3 million USD, Lai Chau 24.2 million USD, Son La 20.5 million USD and Dien Bien 5.5 million USD - the province with the lowest export turnover in the country.
