List of 50 teachers in Ho Chi Minh City receiving the Vo Truong Toan Award in 2025

This is an annual award organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, to honor outstanding teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20.

Accordingly, the council selected 50 teachers to be proposed by the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to receive a Certificate of Merit for winning the Vo Truong Toan Award in 2025.

List of 50 teachers receiving Vo Truong Toan Award includes:

Those considered for the Vo Truong Toan Award are managers and teachers working at educational institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, teachers are those who directly teach at preschools, general education institutions and specialized schools (except guest teachers). For continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers only consider awarding prizes to teachers teaching general education programs in the continuing education system.

Management staff, the subjects considered for the award are the heads, deputy heads of general education institutions, continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers, specialized schools and civil servants working in specialized departments under the Department of Education and Training, civil servants in charge of the education sector at the cultural - social departments of wards, communes and special zones.

Teachers and managers nominated for the Vo Truong Toan Award must meet a number of conditions.

Specifically, have at least 15 years of working experience in the education sector (in special cases, there must be an accompanying explanation); be exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the sector's regulations; strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the agency, unit, organization, and locality where they reside.

Have the spirit of self-study and creativity; solidarity, mutual support, actively participate in activities and emulation movements of the industry; have good moral qualities, enthusiasm for the teaching profession; have many contributions to the city's education and training sector; pioneer in innovation of educational management, teaching methods and testing and evaluation.

In particular, managers must ensure the following conditions: having results in performing tasks of the collective led and managed by the individual at least 5 times achieving the title of Excellent Labor Collective; not allowing unresolved complaints or prolonged complaints to occur in the unit.

This year, 227 individuals were nominated for the Vo Truong Toan Award. Of these, 48 were from preschool, 57 from primary, 63 from secondary, 35 from high school, and 24 from continuing education and the Department of Culture and Society.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of November 19.
