Ninh Thuan has many unique tourism potentials, from the wild beauty of beaches such as Binh Tien, Ninh Chu, Ca Na; the richness of Thai An grape fields; the majesty of Nam Cuong and Son Hai sand dunes, to the unique Cham and Raglai historical and cultural relics. According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province, in 2024, the whole province of Ninh Thuan welcomed about 3.4 million visitors, exceeding the plan by 6.3%. In the first quarter and May 2025, the number of visitors continued to maintain growth momentum with 1.36 million, of which international visitors were estimated at 85,000, domestic visitors accounted for the majority with 1,275,000.
These are positive figures, reflecting the strong recovery and growth trend of the local tourism industry. However, to achieve the annual target of 3.6 million visitors and VND4,500 billion in revenue, Ninh Thuan province is well aware that a methodical strategy is needed to attract investment, develop infrastructure and diversify tourism products.
Mr. Truong Van Tien - Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Ninh Thuan province said that in order to optimize the diverse tourism potential, the province is promoting investment attraction in urban - tourism projects and diversifying utilities to create strong attraction, retain long-term tourists and promote tourism spending. With the basic goal of making tourism a key economic sector by 2025 and truly becoming a key economic sector with sustainable development by 2030, Ninh Thuan prioritizes calling for investment in key areas in the North, South and the center of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city.
Ninh Thuan is positioning itself as an “emerging destination” for coastal tourism in the Central region. In 2024, the province granted new and adjusted investment policies for 29 projects in the tourism sector, with a total registered capital of over VND32,000 billion. Many large projects are being implemented along the coastal areas of Ninh Hai, Thuan Nam, and Ca Na.
Notably, the province has completed the planning to realize the functional area in the direction of an international tourist area, developing an inter-regional connecting traffic network such as the DT701 coastal route and the North-South expressway.

Identifying tourism as one of the five main economic pillars, along with renewable energy; processing and manufacturing industry; high-quality agriculture and real estate business, Ninh Thuan is promoting administrative procedure reform and increasing support for investors.
Preferential policies on taxes, land rent, site clearance and human resource training support are also being strongly implemented. According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, investors in key tourism areas will receive maximum support in accessing land, technical infrastructure and investment procedures.
At the same time, the province also established a special working group to monitor and remove difficulties for each major project to ensure implementation progress and promote investment efficiency.
Not only relying on the advantage of the sea, Ninh Thuan is expanding the development of eco-tourism, community tourism and cultural-spiritual tourism in the western mountainous regions and the Raglai ethnic minority areas.
New products such as Bau Truc pottery making experience tours, My Nghiep brocade weaving tours, Phuoc Binh national forest discovery journeys or folk cultural festivals are increasingly attracting tourists who love local culture and discovery.
In addition, the province also coordinates with large tourism businesses to build high-end experience chains such as "Ninh Chu - Binh Tien - Vinh Hy Bay", promote promotion on digital platforms and cooperate with international travel agencies.
Affirming position on Vietnam tourism map
In 2025, Ninh Thuan plans to participate in and organize many major events such as the International Tourism Fair in Ho Chi Minh City, the Grape and Wine Festival, and tourism investment promotion seminars with the participation of domestic and international enterprises. The province will also organize the 12th Vietnam - Taiwan Tourism Cooperation Conference to promote local tourism.
Digital media and e-commerce are also promoted to spread Ninh Thuan tourism image to key markets such as Korea, Japan, China, India...
Along with that, the establishment of tourist support centers, improving the quality of accommodation services, and training high-quality human resources are being focused on more than ever by the local tourism industry.
In addition to increasing investment attraction, Ninh Thuan is also determined to only attract investment projects with potential for sustainable development. At the same time, the province also pays special attention to and resolutely handles investors who lack capacity, determination, and slow progress for many years. Recently, the province has revoked investment registration certificates and terminated the operation of a number of projects such as Thanh Trung, Rocko Bay Resort, and Ba Be Lake Resort. Strictly handle projects that violate regulations to ensure a transparent and fair investment environment for businesses.
From a province with many difficulties in the past, Ninh Thuan has taken full advantage of its existing advantages to gradually affirm its position on the tourism map of Vietnam. With a vision to 2030, the province aims to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector in a practical way, associated with ecological and cultural conservation and community development. What is happening shows a Ninh Thuan full of internal strength, transforming strongly and decisively in its strategy to attract investment in the tourism industry, creating a surplus for the local economy.
