BDK.VN - On the morning of June 5, 2025, at An Dinh Primary School (Mo Cay Nam), the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) coordinated with the Provincial Farmers' Association and the People's Committee of Mo Cay Nam district to organize the launching and tree planting ceremony in response to World Environment Day June 5, 2025, the movement "planting trees in memory of Uncle Ho" to contribute to the successful implementation of the Provincial Tree Planting Project for the period 2021 - 2025. Launching the movement, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Ngoan said that in 2025, World Environment Day with the theme "Beat Plastic Pollution" aims to call on the global community to take drastic action to solve plastic waste - one of the most urgent environmental challenges today.

Mr. Vo Van Ngoan affirmed that fighting plastic pollution is an urgent task, requiring the synchronous participation of the entire political system, businesses and people. Responding to World Environment Day 2025, the province promotes a shift to a green lifestyle and sustainable consumption, contributing to building Ben Tre province to be increasingly green - clean - beautiful and develop sustainably.

After the launching ceremony, delegates participated in planting trees along the DX.05 inter-commune road from An Dinh to An Thoi, with a total length of about 1.3km.
