Exploiting geographical and cultural advantages
As a province located in the transitional area from the Northwest midland mountains to the Red River Delta, Vinh Phuc possesses a diverse terrain with three distinct landscapes: mountains, midlands and plains. Favorable nature and a rich system of cultural and historical values create a rare strength for local tourism development.

In the Red River basin, Vinh Phuc is an ancient land with many vestiges of the Vietnamese people during the Hung Kings' founding of the country, typically the Dong Dau relic (Yen Lac district), which preserves the imprints of the Phung Nguyen, Dong Dau, Go Mun, and Dong Son cultures. Along with that is a system of more than 1,400 historical and cultural relics, including 69 national relics and 6 special national relics.
Vinh Phuc is also famous for its national intangible cultural heritages such as: Tay Thien Mother worship, Huong Canh river pulling festival, Ngu Doi temple water procession, Duc Bac and Soong Co drum singing... Along with that is a rich system of traditional craft villages such as Huong Canh pottery, Trieu De bamboo and rattan weaving, Lam Xuyen stone carving, beekeeping, Tam Dao Morinda officinalis planting and exploitation, Vinh Son snake farming... along with unique local cuisine that creates great attraction for tourists.
Synchronizing infrastructure, attracting large investment capital
Identifying tourism as a key economic sector, in recent years, Vinh Phuc has promoted infrastructure investment, improved service quality and called for strategic investors. To date, the province has approved the planning of 6 tourist areas, and allocated more than 2,500 billion VND from the state budget to invest in infrastructure in key tourist areas such as Tam Dao, Dai Lai and Tay Thien.
Several important transport projects have been and are being implemented to improve tourism connectivity, notably the Tay Thien - Tam Son route, which is over 14km long and has a total investment of VND375 billion. Once completed, this route will connect major tourist destinations such as Tay Thien, Van Truc Lake, Sang Mountain, etc., and contribute to completing the Vinh Phuc urban beltway 5 according to the plan.

Along with that, the province currently has 40 major projects in the tourism sector that have been licensed, with a total registered investment capital of more than 21,000 billion VND. Some typical projects include: Flamingo Dai Lai (4,630 billion VND), Tam Dao II tourist area (2,987 billion VND), Thanh Xuan Valley (300 billion VND), Grand Victory Tam Dao hotel (250 billion VND)...
Impressive growth, towards 2025 target
Vinh Phuc aims to develop diverse types of tourism: ecological, resort, cultural - spiritual, festival, MICE tourism (combined with seminars, conferences), sports tourism (golf), forming key tourist areas with unique characteristics, high service quality, rich products and clear competitiveness.
Since the beginning of the year, travel agencies, accommodation establishments and management agencies have proactively prepared the best conditions for the peak summer tourist season. The intra-provincial transport network has been invested in synchronously, accommodation, food and entertainment services have also been upgraded, creating favorable conditions to welcome domestic and foreign visitors.

In the period 2015-2019, the number of tourists to Vinh Phuc increased by an average of 15% per year. In 2024, the whole province welcomed more than 10.6 million visitors, with estimated revenue of VND 4,000 billion. In the first 4 months of 2025 alone, the province welcomed 3.7 million visitors, an increase of 25% over the same period last year, of which international visitors reached nearly 35,000; tourism revenue is estimated at VND 1,500 billion.
With the current growth momentum and sustainable development strategy, Vinh Phuc has every reason to expect to achieve the target of welcoming 12 million visitors and revenue of more than VND 4,500 billion in 2025, gradually affirming its position as an attractive destination in the Northern Delta region.
