FPTU launches Digital Transformation major, training strategic human resources for the future.

Given the rapid development of technology and the urgent need for digital human resources, FPT University (FPTU) will officially launch and begin enrolling students in the Digital Transformation (BIT_DX) major starting in 2025. This is a strategic step aimed at training high-quality human resources capable of effectively participating in the digital transformation process in organizations and businesses in Vietnam and internationally.

The launch of this major is also one ofFPT University's concrete actions in realizing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, in which digital transformation is not just a trend, but a key "development axis" to create a comprehensive digital Vietnam. In particular, the Digital Transformation major aims to train new generations of human resources with technological thinking, innovative management capabilities, and the ability to implement practical solutions in the context of the ongoing and profound digital transformation.

The Digital Transformation major, part of the Information Technology program at FPT University, has achieved international accreditation from AQAS. The curriculum is designed with a solid IT foundation while integrating interdisciplinary knowledge in management, business, and modern technology. The training objective is to cultivate a team of experts and managers with strategic thinking, a clear understanding of the role and impact of technology in organizations, and the ability to build and lead digital transformation initiatives relevant to real-world contexts.

Students majoring in Digital Transformation are equipped with foundational knowledge of information technology, data science , and key technologies to apply to data analysis, business operations, and decision support.

Students enrolled in this program will be equipped with foundational knowledge in information technology, data science, and key technologies (AI, Big Data, IoT, Cloud, Information Security, etc.) to apply to data analysis, business operations, and decision-making support. In addition, students will develop critical thinking, creative thinking, teamwork, communication, and entrepreneurial skills – essential competencies in the digital age.

The curriculum emphasizes connecting theory with practice through interdisciplinary projects, internships at businesses, and specialized seminars with leading experts. The university is also a pioneer in Vietnam in investing capital in student startup projects, creating opportunities for students to realize their business ideas while still in university.

With interdisciplinary thinking and high adaptability, graduates can work in many fields such as technology, management, digital finance, public administration, or start technology-related businesses in government agencies and organizations, large technology companies, corporations, and companies in various sectors. Typical positions include: digital transformation specialist, technology project manager, data analyst, digital solution developer (web, app, internal systems), user experience specialist (UX/UI), digital marketing specialist, IT system administrator… or become a digital transformation consultant for businesses and organizations.
