With 7 projects passing the preliminary round to enter the presentation round of the 2025 Startup Idea Competition of Banking Academy - Phu Yen Branch (BAP), the student group - authors of the topics brought creative ideas, impressing the judges as well as the attending delegates.
Outstandingly surpassing other competing teams, Diep Tieu Anh Quan, a student of class K27NHB, won first prize with the Green Plastic Project - resource regeneration to spread green life.
The project builds a comprehensive recycling ecosystem including: collecting, classifying and recycling plastic waste effectively; based on technology application and community cooperation. The unique and creative point of this idea is to build a "Waste Bank 4.0", turning trash disposal into a valuable experience through a smart point accumulation and reward mechanism.
Diep Tieu Anh Quan shared: Environmental pollution from waste is a rather painful problem in society today. Therefore, I believe that the Green Plastic Project - Recycling Resources to Spread Green Life is extremely necessary. I have researched the feasibility and implementation plan for each specific stage; proposed a communication plan as well as the cost structure and profits from the project. The main point of view that the project mentions is: Waste is not useless if we know how to turn it into value, recycle waste to build a sustainable future!
Also a green startup project, the theme Areca palm - where the Vietnamese soul resides has brought daily-use products such as plates, food trays... made from areca palm spathe.
Nguyen Phuong Thao, a member of the project implementation team, said: The advantage of the project is the innovative thinking in designing a closed value chain, from raw materials to finished products with the entire production process deployed locally. This allows for the effective exploitation of rural labor, contributing to solving the problem of sustainable economic development and the opportunity to realize the goal of starting a business associated with green transformation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Diem, Head of Corporate Customer Department ( LPBank Phu Yen), a partner of the Startup Idea Competition - BAP 2025, commented: The groups participating in the competition had many very creative ideas to implement startup projects in their hometowns. Many ideas are not only highly practical, closely following social needs, but also show the desire to start a business and a sense of responsibility to the community. In addition to excellent ideas, the participating groups also need to practice their market analysis skills and financial planning skills - necessary conditions to turn ideas into reality.
Continue to expand the model
Not only stopping at startup idea programs for students, recently, BAP has cooperated with Home Credit Vietnam Finance Company Limited to launch a Startup competition to create livelihoods for families of students of the academy with registered residence in Phu Yen.
Student startup competitions have become an important tool to help the young generation develop their creativity, assert themselves and contribute to the development of the socio-economy. Not only is it a playground for competition, it is also a place to nurture future entrepreneurs, creating a solid stepping stone for a challenging but also very promising startup journey.
Dr. Tran Thanh Long, Director of BAP
Dr. Tran Thanh Long, Director of BAP said: We want young people to really know how to exploit local resources to develop their own livelihoods, thereby spreading the movement of sustainable economic development in the locality. With business ideas, in addition to counterpart capital from their families, projects will be funded by investors. The school wants to create opportunities for students to meet and learn from many startup experts, investors, and successful businessmen. From there, they can receive advice and support in terms of capital, technology or market, helping their ideas quickly come to life.
Affirming the companionship with student startups, Ms. Hoang Lan Anh, Director of External Relations of Home Credit Vietnam Finance Company Limited, said: Startup idea competitions are a place to connect training units and businesses, promoting the desire to start a business and start a successful business of young people. Besides, this is also a playground to bring creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to students, helping them gain more knowledge, skills, and useful experience for their future studies and work. In addition to supporting capital, we are ready to accompany and nurture students' startup ideas to have conditions to develop in reality.
