Support mountainous districts of Quang Ngai to develop OCOP products

NDO - As of April 2025, Quang Ngai province has a total of 271 OCOP products with 3 stars or more. In particular, mountainous districts such as Tra Bong, Ba To, Son Tay, Son Ha and Minh Long have actively participated in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, developing many local specialty products.

Mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province have proposed many solutions to support people participating in the OCOP program in rural economic development. In Ba To, Son Ha, Minh Long districts, functional agencies have actively advised and supported subjects in building and completing dossiers to participate in evaluating and classifying OCOP products; mobilized production establishments to invest in technology to improve traditional local products; supported business households and cooperatives to register 3-4 star OCOP products; organized promotional activities, trade promotion, and searched for start-up products to gradually form new OCOP products.

The subjects have proactively built raw material areas, applied technology to production, processing and designed models and labels towards professionalism, improved quality and increased competitiveness in the market.

Outstanding products such as cinnamon, upland rice, brocade, developing products from medicinal plants and local agricultural products, contributing to increasing people's income.

Currently, mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province continue to improve the quality and quantity of OCOP products, contributing to local economic development and preserving traditional culture.
