Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha: Loving the environment is not just an emotion, but a responsibility

NDO - Responding to World Environment Day (June 5), Miss World Environment 2023 Nguyen Thanh Ha recently participated in the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" and the movement "Each family of Women's Union members has a tree"; "Each Women's Union facility has a green tree project".

This is a meaningful event organized by the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Binh Tan District, celebrating the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and responding to World Environment Day, the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day.

In the space of Binh Tan Book Street, Ho Chi Minh City on May 29, a series of activities spreading the message of environmental protection and positive living were organized, attracting the attention of many people, such as: Giving away trees, giving away books, awarding prizes for the banner product recycling contest, introducing the book "Joining hands to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic" by the Standing Committee of Binh Tan District Party Committee...

Notably, within the framework of the launching ceremony, Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha launched the Book Space and Exhibition of Environmental Activities - a milestone recognizing her persistent efforts over the past time, especially since being crowned Miss Environment World 2023.

Miss Nguyen Thanh Ha could not hide her joy and happiness when she was able to accompany the meaningful activities of the program.

Sharing at the event, Nguyen Thanh Ha expressed her honor and happiness, because for her, these are not only symbolic activities but also a journey for each individual to join hands to continue writing the most beautiful pages for the future with knowledge, gratitude and concrete actions.

“Ha believes that these activities not only create changes in the living environment, but more importantly, they also create changes in thinking, so that each person realizes how meaningful planting trees, reducing waste, etc. are in the process of improving and protecting the living environment,” she said.

Also at the event, Nguyen Thanh Ha shared her emotional journey to the mission of protecting the environment. Stemming from her instinctive love of nature, the milestone that changed the perception of the beauty born in 2004 was when she was crowned Miss Environment World. Because at that moment, the girl from Ben Tre realized that: Loving the environment is not just an emotion, but a responsibility.

Nguyen Thanh Ha also mentioned her first book “Green Crown” which she recently released, about the journey of a beauty queen who strives to act for the environment. The beauty affirmed that it is a gift she wants to give to those who are planting green buds in life.

“We are living in an era where just one plastic bag thrown on the street, one tree cut down… can damage an entire ecosystem. But I believe that each citizen, each family, each young person, if we act together, we can absolutely create miracles. Let’s put on the Green Crown not only on our heads, but also in our thoughts, actions and lifestyles,” Nguyen Thanh Ha expressed.
