On April 26, in Co To district, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Co To District Party Committee to organize a regular press information program on the collection of entrance fees and interconnection for a number of tourist tours on Ha Long Bay; the pilot project to organize water-based entertainment activities, visiting islands in Co To district and the opening ceremony of Co To Island Tourism in 2025.

According to the leader of Ha Long Bay Management Board, the unit has proposed the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to direct the official announcement to put into operation the connecting tourist tours between Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay - Hai Phong, including the VHL3, VHL4, VHL5 and VHL6 tours connecting to the tourist tours on Lan Ha Bay - Hai Phong and vice versa from May 1, 2025.

Thereby, allowing tourist boats of Cat Ba, Hai Phong city, qualified to operate according to current regulations to transport tourists on the above mentioned tourist tours and pick up and drop off passengers at the ports (Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, Ha Long International Passenger Port) of Quang Ninh province. These tourist boats must register their operations and sign a contract to operate on Ha Long Bay with the Ha Long Bay Management Board.

Leaders of Ha Long Bay Management Board informed about the collection of entrance fees and connections for some tourist tours on Ha Long Bay.

Tourists wishing to visit the above itineraries must purchase tickets to visit Ha Long Bay according to the provisions of Resolution No. 51/2025/NQ-HDND dated February 26, 2025 of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province on supplementing a number of contents on fees and charges under the authority of the Provincial People's Council. Specifically, the VHL6 itinerary: Port - Chan Voi islet - Ba Cua lagoon - Tung Lam island - Cap Bai islet (the last point of the itinerary adjacent to Gia Luan, Lan Ha bay, Hai Phong) or vice versa has a collection rate of 150,000 VND/time/person/day. The Ha Long Bay Management Board proposed that the Provincial People's Committee add fees to the existing itineraries including: VHL3 and VHL4 itineraries with a collection rate of 200,000 VND/person/time; The VHL5 itinerary has a fee of 250,000 VND/person/time and 2 new itineraries are VHL7: Visiting Ha Long Bay according to itineraries VHL1 + VHL2 + VHL3 + VHL4 with a fee of 600,000 VND/time/person and the VHL8 itinerary: Tuan Chau Passenger Port - Ha Long International Passenger Port - Nam Cau Trang area with a fee of 70,000 VND/time/person.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Co To district also informed about the pilot project to organize water recreation and entertainment activities, visit islands in Co To district and the opening ceremony of Co To island tourism in 2025. In particular, the pilot project to organize water recreation and entertainment activities and visit islands in Co To district is considered an important milestone in the strategy to develop sustainable island tourism, aiming to build Co To into a "green - sustainable - safe" destination of Quang Ninh province and the Northern region.

The main pilot activities include: Water recreation at famous beaches such as: Van Chay, Hong Van, Vung Tron, Ba Chau, Co To Con... with many attractive types such as: kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, coral diving... In addition, 8 island tour routes are organized, connecting destinations with favorable natural conditions such as: Co To Con Island, Hon Ca Chep, Hon Su Tu, Hon Bay Sao, Hon Dong Nam, Thanh Lan Island and Tran Island. Implementation time is from April 2025 to the end of 2026.

The event is the highlight of the opening of a series of tourism stimulus activities of Co To district in 2025, and at the same time is a practical activity to celebrate the country's major holidays: the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the National Tourism Year 2025.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission requested press agencies to continue promoting information on the goals, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development in 2025; preparations for Party Congresses at all levels, towards the Provincial and National Party Congresses; outstanding cultural and sports events; celebrations of major holidays and important events in the province.

The Provincial Journalists Association and the Beloved Quang Ninh Club presented Co To district with 30 trash bins and 200 bougainvillea trees, and some gifts for disadvantaged households.
