According to TASS news agency, on May 19, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced a list of 500 Americans banned from entering the country, including former US President Barack Obama.

Thus, up to now, the list of US citizens banned from entering Russia is 1,884 people.

The Russian Foreign Ministry statement said Moscow's sanctions list includes senior officials from all levels of the executive branch, former officials as well as heads of defense companies supplying weapons to Ukraine.

The Russian sanctions list includes US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, Navy Secretary Carlos del Toro, Army General David Stewart, former US ambassadors to Russia John Tefft and Jon Huntsman, White House Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton, Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Michael Barr, CNN news anchor Erin Burnett, American TV hosts and comedians Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers...

Earlier the same day, the US Government announced the expansion of the sanctions list targeting more than 300 Russian individuals and entities involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

In May 2022, the Russian Foreign Ministry published a list of 963 US citizens permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation.

The list includes top US officials including President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, CIA Director William Burns, FBI Director Christopher Wray and other US officials previously banned from entering the country by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

By June 2022, the Russian Foreign Ministry had placed 25 US citizens, including President Joe Biden's wife and daughter, on a list banned from entering Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's announcement said the measure was "in response to the constantly expanding US sanctions imposed on Russian political figures and celebrities."

In addition, a number of US senators, university professors and researchers, and former US government officials are on this list./.
