Joint Base Charleston put out a call to the public on Twitter Sunday with the message “call the Defense Base Operations Center” if you have any information that could assist recovery teams.

On social media X, the base thanked local residents and county and state officials: “Staff from Joint Strike Fighter Charleston and @MCASBeaufortSC worked with local authorities to locate the crash site in Williamsburg County. Debris was located two hours away from base Charleston.”
According to the manufacturer Lockheed Martin, the advantage of this aircraft is its stealth capability. It is almost impossible to detect by radar and is equipped with a series of advanced sensors and other modern equipment.
