On the evening of July 3, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Phan Minh Thang, Chairman of Hong Chau Ward People's Committee ( Hung Yen City, Hung Yen Province) said that at 3:30 p.m. the same day, the ashes of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Th. (23 years old, residing in Hong Chau Ward) were brought to his family.
According to the leader of Hong Chau Ward People's Committee, after finishing university in April, Mr. Th. went to Japan to work because he also had acquaintances in this country.
On June 28, while working at the construction site of Kabushikigaisha Shinwa Seki Company (in Osaka City, Japan), Mr. Th. had a work accident and died on the spot.
After the incident, local authorities organized an investigation into the scene and the cause of the accident. Legal procedures were completed and Mr. Th.'s body was cremated.
The victim's ashes were transported by air to Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ), then brought back to the family by two representatives of the company in Japan.
"Upon receiving the information, the leaders of Hong Chau Ward People's Committee and relevant agencies visited and encouraged Mr. Th's family. Mr. Th. is the youngest child in a family of two children, and his parents are farmers.
The whole family hoped that Mr. Th. would return from working abroad to help make life better, but unexpectedly, disaster struck. It is expected that on the morning of July 5, Mr. Th.'s ashes will be buried by his family according to custom," Mr. Phan Minh Thang added.
