An OCB deputy general director resigned after 14 years of service.

(Dan Tri) - After more than 14 years working at OCB , Mr. Truong Thanh Nam has just submitted a request to terminate his labor contract according to his personal wishes.

The Board of Directors of Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB, stock code: OCB) announced that it has received a request to terminate the labor contract of Deputy General Director Truong Thanh Nam according to his personal wishes.

Mr. Nam's resignation will take effect when the Board of Directors decides to dismiss him.

According to the introduction, Mr. Truong Thanh Nam was born in 1972, has a bachelor's degree in law and a bachelor's degree in finance and banking. He has held many important positions from specialist to department head at several banks such as VietinBank and ACB .

In 2003, Mr. Nam was appointed as Deputy Director of OCB Trung Viet Branch. He then assumed the position of Director of OCB Trung Viet Branch. In May 2010, Mr. Nam was officially appointed as Deputy General Director of OCB. Most recently, he was reappointed as Deputy General Director for a period of 12 months from August 15.

After Mr. Truong Thanh Nam's resignation request is approved, OCB's Board of Directors will have 8 members left. Of which, Mr. Pham Hong Hai is the General Director.

The top management at OCB has also seen many changes in recent months. In July, the bank's Board of Directors decided to appoint Mr. Pham Hong Hai as General Director from July 16, replacing Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung.

Mr. Tung joined OCB in April 2012 and officially assumed the position of General Director in August 2012. In May, the bank's Board of Directors approved Mr. Tung's resignation from the position of General Director. Immediately after that, he also resigned from the position of Member of the Board of Directors for the 2020-2025 term according to his personal wishes.

Last September, VietABank introduced Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung, who is currently an advisor to the Board of Directors (BOD) and Chairman of the Strategy Committee at this bank.

Another deputy general director, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, in charge of the retail sector, also resigned at his own request. Mr. Huong worked at OCB from December 2022 to September 19.

On September 23, the Board of Directors of Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank) officially appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Huong to the position of Acting General Director.
