Launching ceremony of security and order surveillance camera model in Thoi An Ward
According to Mr. Cung Quang Ha, Chairman of Thoi An Ward People's Committee, this time the ward installed 170 new cameras. Of which, there are 30 license plate recognition cameras, 140 smart surveillance cameras integrated with 10 ward speakers at many locations where sidewalks are often encroached.
According to Mr. Ha, the police have integrated stolen license plates of people, criminals, thieves, etc. into the computer system. If these vehicles appear on the roads managed by Thoi An Ward, the camera system will identify them and report to the center.
The ward police rapid response team will monitor the vehicle and approach and inspect.
The total cost of implementing the camera model in the ward within 3 years according to the contract is more than 3.2 billion VND. The model operates in the form of socialization.
Thoi An Ward leaders said that the ward has an area of 518.46 hectares, with 16,736 households and 62,191 people. The population is growing, the urbanization rate is fast, and the security and order situation in the ward is becoming more and more complicated.
In the ward, there are currently 285 cameras installed in the form of socialization from around 2017 to present. Of these, about 88 cameras are still operating, the rest are damaged.
The fact that many cameras are not working affects the fight against crime, and many incidents cannot have their images extracted.
