“Moving” dominates nominations for 2024 Blue Dragon TV Awards

Sports Chosun, the organizer of the annual Blue Dragon Film Awards, has launched Korea's first awards ceremony dedicated to over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms in 2022.

With the continuous growth of streaming platforms, the Blue Dragon Series Awards honors outstanding dramas and variety shows produced by online platforms.

This year, nominees were selected through online voting from June 10-25, as well as evaluations by entertainment news reporters from Sports Chosun, and industry experts' surveys of original content released from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

Disney+'s "Moving" overwhelmed its competitors when it was present in all 7 nominations in the online TV drama category, including Best Drama, Best Actor/Actress (Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo), Best Supporting Actor/Actress (Kim Sung Kyun, Kwak Sun Young), Best New Actor/Actress (Lee Jung Ha, Go Yoon Jung).

Previously, this superhero film won the Best Drama award at the Baeksang and Golden Bell awards. If it continues to win at the Blue Dragon, "Moving" will achieve complete success by being honored at the three most prestigious film awards in Korea.

Following “Moving,” Netflix’s “The 8 Show” received four nominations. Other notable films of the year include “Mask Girl,” “A Killer Paradox,” “A Shop for Killers,” “Uncle Samsik,” and “Daily Dose of Sunshine.”
