MU sees Man City surpass them in the Diogo Costa deal

Man City are planning to recruit goalkeeper Diogo Costa from Porto, who is considered an ideal replacement for Andre Onana at MU.

According to British media, MU gave up on the Diogo Costa deal after learning that the goalkeeper's contract release clause was up to 64 million pounds. Coach Ruben Amorim wanted to replace Onana, but the limited budget prevented the "Red Devils" from making the deal.

In contrast, Man City began negotiations to bring Costa to the Etihad in the summer transfer window, as part of a squad overhaul.
