Photo hunting season on the grassy hill on 706B Phan Thiet road

When the weather in Phan Thiet becomes clear and the sea breeze begins to cool, the 706B coastal road enters its most beautiful season. The dry yellow grass carpets stretching along the sandbanks become the ideal place for tourists to hunt for the sun and capture the last moments of the year.

Located along Vo Nguyen Giap Street, also known as Route 706B, the coastal grassy hill area is becoming a familiar destination for local youth and tourists. Just turn off the roundabout towards 706B, visitors immediately enter a wide open space typical of the South Central Coast region. On one side is the endless blue sea, on the other side is the immense golden grasslands between the undulating sand dunes.

The trails lead deep into the grassy hills.

Small trails leading deep into the grassy hills always open up a new space. The further you go, the more open and clear nature becomes.

Many young people flock here to take pictures.

Mr. Huu Tuan, a resident of Phu Thuy ward and a freelance photographer in Phan Thiet, said that he and his group of friends often go to the grassy hill this season to "hunt the sun".

Early morning or sunset is the right time to hunt for pictures.

According to him, the light at 706B has a clear change between morning and afternoon. In the morning, the sunlight is clear, light and soft, suitable for cool-toned photos; in the afternoon, the sunlight is bright yellow, creating a shimmering light effect on hair and facial features. “The afternoon light is the most beautiful, especially about 30 minutes before sunset. Visitors should come a little earlier to prepare and choose a good location,” Mr. Tuan shared.

Young people are very excited to come to this place.

The interesting thing is that this area does not have any check-in facilities, but it is the naturalness that creates its own appeal. Many young people call the grassy hills on both sides of 706B road “Phan Thiet’s outdoor film studio”, because standing in any position, you can catch a beautiful photo angle. The sunlight shining through the grass, the bright clumps of clover or the horizon embracing the sea all create emotional frames.

Not only a photo hunting spot, the 706B grassy hill area is also a place for visitors to immerse themselves in nature.

The grassy hill on the right side of Route 706B has a rougher terrain, stretching along high and low sand dunes. This is an ideal place to hunt for backlit photos, the sunlight passing through each strand of grass creating beautiful light strips. Meanwhile, the grassy hill on the left is softer, with many types of clover, foxtail grass and flat grass, suitable for groups of young people who want to take landscape photos or set up a small picnic. The horizontal sunlight in the afternoon makes the grass on the left become sparkling, the golden light filling the space.

The grassy hills change constantly according to the weather, the wind season and the impact of nature.

Not only a photography spot, the 706B grassy hill area is also a place for visitors to immerse themselves in nature.

Ms. Linh Phan, who lives in Phan Thiet, shared that each year, the grass hill has a very unique appearance. “One year I took a photo of a beautiful lonely tree, but the next year when I came back, it was gone. The grass hill changes constantly according to the weather, the wind season and the impact of nature. Therefore, each photo taken here becomes a unique moment,” she said.

For her, what makes 706B memorable is not only the beautiful scenery but also the feeling of sitting in the middle of a large space, sipping a cup of coffee, listening to the wind and waiting for the sunset.

Many tourists say that the sunset at 706B has its own unique features: beautiful, gentle and very "Phan Thiet".

Many visitors to Phan Thiet recently often schedule a visit to 706B on the first or last day of their trip. Some of them invest in hiring a local photographer to have a professional photo album; others just bring their phones and still manage to capture many poetic moments.

Getting to the grassy hill is also very convenient: just ride a motorbike or car in the direction of Mui Ne - Vo Nguyen Giap, looking on both sides of the road you will see the long stretches of yellow grass. Many sections have trails, visitors can safely stop their vehicles and walk in.

Not only for photography enthusiasts, 706B grass hill is also suitable for "slow living" trips - where visitors temporarily forget the busy pace of life to enjoy the fresh air.

According to experienced people, the best time to take photos on the grassy hills is from the end of November to after Tet. At this time, the weather in Phan Thiet is stable, with little rain, mild sunshine and the grass reaches a beautiful golden ripeness. This is also the season chosen by many groups of young people, couples and tourists who love taking photos.
