Witnessing the French Navy cruiser visiting Da Nang

The French Navy cruiser Vendemiaire carrying a Dauphin helicopter is anchored in Da Nang Bay.
On the morning of April 11, the French Navy's Vendemiaire cruiser, consisting of 98 officers and sailors led by Commander Sebastien Drouelle, docked at Tien Sa Port, beginning a visit to Da Nang City from April 11 to 15.
Participating in welcoming the ship were leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang City, Military Region 5 Command, Naval Region 3 Command, Coast Guard Region 2 Command...
During their stay in Da Nang, the ship's commander and sailors will pay courtesy visits to the leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee, the Military Region 5 Command, and the Naval Region 3 Command.
The Vendemiaire is a Floreal-class frigate, 93 m long, carrying a Dauphin-class helicopter.
The crew will participate in a number of activities such as fire prevention and fighting, ensuring safety at sea, preparing for anti-pollution training at sea, search and rescue, visiting ships and playing volleyball with the Vietnamese navy and coast guard. The delegation will also visit a number of scenic spots and historical sites in Da Nang, Thua Thien - Hue and Quang Nam .
In addition to its maritime protection and exclusive economic zone control missions, the Vendemiaire cruiser also regularly carries out missions to help people and carry out cooperation programs.
This is the first year that the Vietnam Coast Guard has participated in training activities at sea with the Vendemiaire ship.
The visit demonstrates France's interest in ensuring freedom of navigation and overflight at sea, as well as protecting common spaces.
