Mr. Dinh Van Phuc - Director of the Quang Nam Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, Head of the Jury of the Provincial Outstanding Industrial Technology Products Selection Council in 2024, said that this year, there were a total of 74 products from 61 establishments from 12/18 districts, towns and cities participating (an increase of 7 products compared to 2023).

The products in the contest mainly belong to 2 groups: handicraft products (raw materials from wood, rattan, bamboo, leaves, sedge, water hyacinth, soil, stone, metal, various fibers, agricultural products) with 30 products from 26 establishments; products for preserving and processing agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products and beverages (raw materials mainly produced from agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products) with 44 products from 35 establishments.

All products submitted to the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Technology Product Voting Council at the Quang Nam Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion must be of the correct registered type, in full quantity, and within the prescribed time.

On November 19, 2024, the Jury met to evaluate, score, and select applications and products that meet 4 criteria according to the regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Decision No. 17 (dated June 19, 2015) of the Provincial People's Committee including: meeting the market and production development capacity; economic - technical - social, environmental; cultural, aesthetic and other criteria.

As a result, 68/74 products met the standards (average score of 70 or higher) and 6 products did not meet the standards (below 70 points). Of which, the handicraft group had 30 products; the group of products for preserving and processing agricultural, forestry, aquatic and beverage products had 38 products.

According to Mr. Dinh Van Phuc, the products did not meet the standards because the documents were not complete; the labels of many products were unclear, the uses and users of the products were not correct; some products did not have a license from the Department of Health but the facility had written the uses on the product packaging...

The jury unanimously selected 20 priority products out of 68 qualified products (10 products in each group) to submit to the Voting Council for awarding prizes, including 2 A prizes (with a prize of 5 million VND/prize), 4 B prizes (a prize of 3 million VND/prize), 6 C prizes (a prize of 1.5 million VND/prize), 8 consolation prizes (a prize of 500 thousand VND/prize).

The remaining qualified products will be granted a certificate of typical provincial-level IT products without bonus.
