In Nam Nhun district, digital transformation ineducation, although still facing many difficulties, has recorded positive changes, gradually changing thinking and educational methods towards modernity. Entering the 2024-2025 school year, the entire Nam Nhun district has 28 schools with more than 10,000 students from kindergarten to junior high school. In response to the need for innovation, the district's education sector has identified digital transformation as a key task in improving the quality of education and reducing the gap between regions.
A typical example is Nam Nhun Town Primary School, one of the leading units in implementing digital transformation solutions. The school currently has 12 classes with 372 students, 100% of teachers are trained in basic information technology and are capable of using modern teaching software. The school has invested in 12 projectors, laptops, and desktop computers for teaching and learning.
Teacher Lung Thi Chinh - a teacher at Nam Nhun Town Primary School shared: “In the past, to illustrate lessons, we had to search and print many pictures and learning materials. Now, thanks to information technology, designing electronic lessons has become more convenient, with richer and more attractive content. Students are excited and actively participate in speaking, so the lessons have become more exciting.”
At Nam Cha Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Nam Cha commune, 15 projectors and laptops have been equipped for teaching. Instead of using chalk and blackboards as in the past, teachers now use electronic lectures that integrate images, sounds, and vividly illustrated videos , helping students absorb knowledge in an intuitive and easy-to-understand way.
Not only focusing on teaching, the Nam Nhun District Education Department also focuses on applying technology in management and operation. Currently, 100% of schools in the district have deployed school management software, digital report cards, software for managing staff, students, and teaching schedules. Some schools have applied electronic contact books, helping to effectively connect schools and parents. Software such as VnEdu, SMAS, AI applications... are popularized to teachers and management staff. Despite initial results, the implementation of digital transformation in schools in Nam Nhun district still faces many difficulties. According to statistics from the district's Department of Education and Training, there are still some schools such as Nam Ban, Hua Bum, and Nam Pi that lack equipment for teaching using information technology. Some schools do not have stable internet connections, and technology equipment is still lacking, not meeting the requirements of digital transformation. The cost of maintaining management software and updating teaching software is still a burden for schools with difficult conditions. To promote digital transformation in education comprehensively, the Nam Nhun district education sector is implementing many synchronous solutions. In particular, focusing on a number of key tasks such as: Strengthening propaganda, raising awareness for managers, teachers, students and parents about the role of digital transformation; regularly organizing digital skills training, designing electronic lectures, exploiting digital science resources; continuing to mobilize resources from the state budget, national target programs, ODA projects and socialization to invest in information technology equipment; striving by 2025-2026, 100% of schools will have high-speed internet connection, 80% of classrooms will have equipment for digital teaching; piloting the "smart classroom" model in a number of central schools, integrating projectors and cameras to support classroom monitoring, thereby replicating the model when effective.
