Li Chen, a student from Jiangxi Province, China, touched many people when he wore a small photo of his late mother on his chest during the important exam days.
Li Chen's father, Li Wenbo, shared on social media that Chen wanted to do this to feel like his mother was right there with him, walking with him through the important exam.

Li Chen's mother passed away from cancer in 2021 at the age of 37. After his wife's death, Li Wenbo tried his best to fulfill the roles of both father and mother to raise his two children.
Mr. Li Wenbo said his wife's only wish before she passed away was that both children would pass university entrance exams and grow up well, becoming good people.
Since his mother passed away, Li Chen often visited her grave, but during his senior year, Mr. Li Wenbo agreed with his son that he would temporarily stop visiting his mother's grave, because the emotions and sadness could affect his son's learning spirit.
Li Chen did exactly what he had agreed with his father, but in his heart, the young man missed his mother very much, so throughout the days of taking the college entrance exam, he stuck his mother's picture on his chest. Right after the exam, the first thing Li Chen wanted to do was visit his mother's grave.
I brought flowers, knelt before my mother's grave and promised to be strong in life, to grow up and live well as my mother wished.
When Mr. Li Wenbo shared his son's story on social media, he and his son received thousands of good luck wishes from the Chinese online community.
“Finally the young man can visit his mother’s grave, he will surely move forward firmly in life with his mother’s love always in his heart. Wishing him all the best,” a netizen wrote.
“She kept her promise to her parents and studied hard no matter how sad or how much she missed her mother. She is truly a hero,” another netizen commented.
