The 110kV Go Dau transformer station located in Go Dau Industrial Park, Long Thanh District, was first put into operation in 1997. After a long period of operation, despite regular maintenance and periodic repairs, the equipment has now reached its expiration date and must be replaced and upgraded.
To ensure safe, reliable and continuous power supply, prevent incidents due to equipment damage, and increase the load-carrying capacity of equipment to meet the N-1 criteria, Dong Nai Electricity Company has decided to invest in and upgrade the equipment of the 110kV Go Dau transformer station.
The project includes: building a new operating house; replacing steel pillars supporting circuit breakers, current transformers, voltage transformers, lightning arresters; installing new medium voltage cabinets, replacing underground cables of all kinds... and many other equipment. The total investment is 13.5 billion VND from the basic depreciation capital of Dong Nai Electricity.
The 110kV Go Dau transformer station has 2 transformers, with a total capacity of 126MVA, operating according to the criteria of an unmanned transformer station, supplying electricity to the Go Dau Industrial Park and surrounding areas.
According to Dong Nai Electricity Company, in 2025, the company plans to allocate more than 1 trillion VND to carry out 43 basic construction investment projects and major repairs of 39 projects. Of these, there are 11 110kV power grid projects, increasing the capacity of 110kV stations by 229MVA.
Go Dau transformer station is the third 110kV project to be successfully energized since the beginning of 2025.
