The LPGA Tour is a prestigious and highly-prized golf tournament system for women's golf worldwide , parallel to the PGA Tour system for men.
There are quite a few big names in attendance at The Chevron Championship this year. The most notable of these is of course world number one and reigning Olympic champion Nelly Korda (USA).

After the first day of competition early this morning (April 21, Vietnam time), Nelley Korda achieved a total score of -4 strokes, temporarily ranked T2 (tied for 2nd place), only 1 point behind the tournament's leading golfer Chien Peiyun.
Among the golfers who are candidates for the championship of this year's tournament, in addition to Nelly Korda, there are also Minjee Lee (Australia) and current Olympic bronze medalist Lydia Ko (New Zealand).
After the first day of competition, Minjee Lee had a total score of -2 strokes, ranked T9, while Lydia Ko had a total score of -1 stroke, ranked T23.
As for the former world No. 1, who in 2022 is Nelly Korda's biggest rival, Ko Jin-young (Korea), had an E score (no extra or missing strokes) after the first day of competition, ranked T37.
The Chevron Championship 2023 will last until the early morning of April 24 (Vietnam time), at The Club at Carlton Woods, in Texas (USA).
