Nepal unexpectedly lost to Laos before the match against Vietnam team

Laos won 2-1 against Nepal in the second match of Group F of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. In the next match, Nepal will face Vietnam.

Right from the first half, Laos entered the match very confidently and quickly opened the score in the 13th minute thanks to Thongkhamsavath. Despite conceding a goal, Nepal tried to fight back but could not make a difference in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, the situation continued to be favorable for Laos. In the 49th minute, Phanthavong scored to double the gap to 2-0, giving the home team a great mental advantage. Laos continued to put pressure but could not score another goal.
