NewJeans stirs up 60,000 spectators in the middle of a football match

On August 4, Korean media reported that Kpop girl group NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) had a successful stage when they were chosen as performers in the match between Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur, within the framework of the Coupang Play 2024 Tournament.

News1 emphasized, “girl group NewJeans created a great halftime show for the world- class soccer match,” held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the evening of August 3.

The match attracted a lot of attention because both of these famous European clubs have Korean stars playing for them, namely Kim Min Jae of Bayern Munich and Son Heung Min of Tottenham Hotspur. All tickets were sold out early.

At the Seoul World Cup Stadium, New Jeans performed a medley of their hit songs including “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” “ETA,” and “Super Shy,” sending the 60,000-strong crowd into a frenzy of cheers and applause.

NewJeans also confidently interacted with the audience during the breaks between songs, making the stadium even more exciting.

Before that, all 5 members participated in the opening kick of the match and took photos with 2 star players Son Heung Min and Kim Min Jae.
