In his first match back after nearly six months of injury, Neymar scored two goals to help PSG beat Jeonbuk 3-0 in a friendly match in Busan.
Neymar played the full 90 minutes, contributing to all three goals for PSG, including an assist for new signing Marco Asensio. Previously, Neymar's last match was when PSG beat Lille 4-3 in Ligue 1 on February 19, 2023, when he also scored a goal. The Brazilian star returned, shining and helping his team end a streak of three friendlies without a win in Asia.

Neymar and Marco Verratti both started this match, alongside Ethan Mbappe - Kylian Mbappe's younger brother. Mbappe's older brother is currently banned from training with the first team because he refused to renew his contract. However, with a star like Neymar, PSG is still too strong for the most successful team in Korea. In the 40th minute, Neymar performed a solo in the penalty area, feinted and then quickly shot into the near corner into the net, surprising the home team's defense.
This was also Neymar's first game under coach Luis Enrique at PSG, when the two worked together at Barca. In the 83rd minute, he received a pass from Fabian Ruiz to face the goalkeeper, and once again shot low into the near corner to make it 2-0. Just five minutes later, the 31-year-old star improvised a backheel for Asensio to shoot hard into the top corner to seal a 3-0 victory for the French club.
Neymar was put up for sale by PSG in May 2023, but the situation has changed as Mbappe is at risk of being sold this summer. PSG also parted ways with Lionel Messi, meaning they risk losing all three stars on the attack in one transfer window. Therefore, Neymar is likely to stay in Paris, with two years left on his contract.
PSG won their first match in Asia this year, after drawing with Al Nassr and losing to Cerezo Osaka and Inter. After this match, they will return to France to prepare for their first match of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season against Lorient on August 13.
On the evening of July 24, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club (PSG) accepted Al Hilal's record offer of $330 million and allowed the Saudi Arabian club to approach Kylian Mbappe.
