Meanwhile, all heavy military equipment, including tanks, as well as fighter jets belonging to the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC), completely left the grounds of the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov-on-Don on Saturday, a TASS correspondent reported.
Following the unrest on June 24, Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin stated that he would end the rebellion in exchange for "security guarantees" for members of the mercenary force.
"Yevgeny Prigozhin has accepted President Alexander Lukashenko's proposal to stop the Wagner Group rebellion and take further steps to reduce tensions between the two sides," a statement from the Belarusian President's office said.
Wagner launched a major coup in Russia overnight, attempting to seize control of the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov, as well as advance towards Moscow. President Putin considered the rebellion by the head of the Wagner military company a betrayal of Russia and vowed to do everything to protect it.
