At exactly 10:00 a.m. on May 9 (Moscow time, or 2:00 p.m. Hanoi time), the parade commemorating the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War began on Red Square in the Russian capital Moscow.
The parade on Red Square traditionally begins with the raising of the flag of the Russian Federation and the victory banner of the 150th Idritskaya Rifle Division of the 3rd Shock Army of the 1st Belorussian Front to the tune of the song "The Sacred War."
In the stands were present Russian President Vladimir Putin, veterans and heads of state and government of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Speaking at the parade, President Putin affirmed that he would ensure the country's security and wished to see a peaceful and stable future.
This year's parade involved about 10,000 officers and soldiers along with 125 technical vehicles.
However, compared to last year, it can be seen that the number of military technical vehicles participating in the parade has decreased significantly, and there is no aerial aircraft parade.
The parade groups include troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, military schools of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and units of the National Guard, the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB)...
Following the mass of foot soldiers was the mass of wheeled military equipment. Leading the mechanized mass was the legendary T-34 tank.

This year's military-technical bloc includes Tigr and Typhoon-U armored vehicles, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, S-400 air defense missile systems, Iskander-M tactical missile systems, Yars mobile intercontinental missile systems, and Boomerang wheeled armored vehicles.
On May 9, the entire Russian Federation celebrates the most important holiday - Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
This is the legendary Victory Day of the Soviet Red Army over fascism and a day to remember the soldiers who died in this bloody war.
