See the electric taxi fleet of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong

On March 23, a convoy of about 50 VinFast VF e34 electric taxis departed from the VinFast Hai Phong automobile factory to Hanoi, attracting the attention of the community. The VinFast VF e34 electric taxis are painted green, symbolizing green, environmentally friendly vehicles. The destination of these VinFast electric taxis is GSM Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company of Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong in Hanoi. This company specializes in providing car and electric motorbike rental services and VinFast taxi services, expected to start operating next April.

GSM has a charter capital of 3,000 billion VND, was established by Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong and holds 95% of the shares. GSM operates in 2 main areas: car rental - electric motorbikes and electric taxis.

GSM will rent electric cars and motorbikes to transport service companies such as taxis, technology-based motorbike taxis and their employees to transport passengers. GSM will also operate its own VinFast electric car taxi service. According to the plan, the first pure electric car taxi company in Vietnam established by GSM will start operating next month in Hanoi, moving towards nationwide coverage in 2023.

Previously on March 21, GSM and Be Group - a Vietnamese technology company that owns the multi-service consumer platform "be" - signed an investment cooperation agreement to bring electric cars and electric motorbikes into operation as the first transportation service in Vietnam.

Under the cooperation agreement, GSM will directly invest in Be Group to support the partner in its goal of becoming a multi-service consumer platform, as well as providing the leading technology transportation service in Vietnam. In addition, through financial partners, GSM will support Be Group drivers to switch from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric vehicles conveniently and easily with economical operating costs.

In the first phase, GSM will cooperate with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank ( VPBank ) to provide exclusive preferential policies for Be Group drivers to rent or buy VinFast cars and electric motorbikes through GSM at attractive costs. In the field of technology taxi services, GSM and Be Group will also cooperate to share the ride-hailing platform. Accordingly, customers who call a car through Be Group's application can choose GSM's electric taxi service, in addition to the existing beCar and beTaxi services.

According to the plan, GSM will officially put into operation the VinFast electric taxi and car and electric motorbike rental service in April, with an expected investment scale of up to 10,000 cars and 100,000 motorbikes. Together with Be Group drivers switching to using electric cars and motorbikes, the green transportation service promises to quickly explode in Vietnam in the near future. Last week, GSM also revealed the rental service price list for 3 electric car models VinFast VF e34, VinFast VF5 and VinFast VF8 Eco. Accordingly, the rental price of VinFast VF e34 is 11 million VND/month, the monthly battery rental price is 3.16 million VND, the maximum mileage is 2,500 km, the unit price of 1 additional km is 1,265 VND/km. With VinFast VF5, the rental price is 9.5 million VND/month, the battery rental price is 2.7 million VND/month, the maximum mileage is 2,500 km, the unit price of 1 additional km is 1,082 VND/km. With VinFast VF8 Eco, the rental price is 20 million VND/month, the battery rental price is 4.64 million VND/month, the maximum mileage is 2,500 km, the unit price of 1 additional km is 1,850 VND/km.
