Ha Long key ward with many resolutions at the first meeting

On the first working day after operating the 2-level local government model, Ha Long Ward organized a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Ward Party Committee. Immediately after that, the People's Council of Ha Long Ward, term I, held its first session, term 2021 - 2026.

Accordingly, Mr. Hoang Ba Nam was appointed to hold the position of Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Mr. Luu Manh Tuan held the position of Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ward People's Committee.

At the meeting, delegates voted to approve the direction and tasks for 2025, with the general goal of building a streamlined and effective political system; promoting the strength of culture, people, and the great national unity bloc; promoting innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation; developing a sustainable socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, maintaining people's trust; and successfully organizing the 1st Ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The highlight of the meeting was the approval of a series of socio -economic development targets for 2025, such as: budget revenue exceeding the target assigned by the province; maintaining the standard of "Civilized Urban Ward"; no new poor or near-poor households according to the province's standards; 100% of children in difficult circumstances are supported for care; all administrative records are received through online public services; 100% of household waste and medical waste are collected and treated; maintaining security and order, not allowing hotspots to occur.

The timely issuance of resolutions on socio-economic development management and budget revenue and expenditure right after the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council issued Resolution 278/NQ-HDND adjusting the 2025 budget estimate demonstrates the spirit of proactiveness, innovation, and close adherence to the province's direction, helping the Ward People's Committee to deploy work right from the beginning.

A convergence of education, culture, tourism and modern urban

Ha Long Ward was established on the basis of merging Hong Ha and Hong Hai wards, which are the administrative center of the province with the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and many important departments, branches and sectors.

The choice of the name "Ha Long" for the new ward is not only symbolic but also reflects the central position of this administrative unit.

Ha Long Ward has an area of 6.08 km², with a population of over 52,900 people. The ward has a prime location, bordering Ha Trung Ward to the east, Bach Dang Ward to the west, Ha Long Bay to the south and Ha Lam Ward to the north. This area is located on National Highway 18, the main traffic axis of the Northeast region.

Ha Long Ward is home to a series of typical works such as October 30 Square, Planning - Fair - Exhibition Palace, Quang Ninh Museum, Provincial Library, Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center and especially the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal route, known as the most beautiful in Vietnam.

This place also concentrates the province's major educational institutions such as Ha Long University, Quang Ninh Medical College, Ha Long Specialized High School, Hon Gai High School, Trong Diem Secondary School...

With a series of modern urban areas, expensive coastal villas and famous restaurant systems, Ha Long Ward has the appearance of a model, modern and civilized urban area.

Another highlight is Hon Gai beach, which was invested in the former Hong Ha ward area with a total capital of over 100 billion VND, including modern items such as 28m wide sidewalks, green campus, shower area, separate parking lot, becoming an attractive destination for residents and tourists.

Ha Long Ward is gradually affirming its position as a model center and development locomotive of Quang Ninh province in the new period.
