Van Tien Cave is located deep in the rocky mountain range in Cat Tria village, Huong Son commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province. This is a pristine cave that has not been exploited for tourism .
Inside Van Tien cave, the highest point is nearly 10m and the widest point is about 10m. Over hundreds of millions of years, nature has created a beautiful and majestic masterpiece. There are many intricate paths in Van Tien cave, and the survey team has only explored nearly 1km of the cave's length.
Van Tien Cave in Quang Tri impressed the survey team with its majestic stalactites, strange shapes, and brilliant colors; it is considered to be no less than many caves attracting tourists in Quang Binh province, a locality known as the "Kingdom of Caves".
An impressive point in Van Tien cave is the stalactites flowing like a river of sand, where there are waterfalls with shimmering yellow color... In addition to the beauty of stalactites, Van Tien Cave also has a long, winding underground river system right at the bottom of the cave. Both sides of the underground river are surrounded by stalactites, forming a unique natural complex. The underground river water inside the cave is cool and has many types of fish living there, typically eels and catfish.
According to local people. In the resource system of the Northern Huong Hoa Nature Reserve, on an area of more than 25,000 hectares, there are still many caves that need to be explored and announced.
Van Tien Cave was accidentally discovered by local people in 2020. Recently, Bac Huong Hoa Nature Reserve (Quang Tri) cooperated with a local exploration group to survey this cave. The survey results showed that the entrance to Van Tien Cave is only wide enough for one person to enter, but the inside is quite wide with many intricate paths and a winding underground river. The survey team has not yet found the origin and exit of the underground river. Van Tien Cave is located in a rocky mountain range. To reach it, in addition to traveling by motorbike along the forest road, the survey team also has to walk for more than 30 minutes, crossing the jagged cat-ear rocks in the middle of the old forest. Therefore, developing tourism is not a simple matter. In the near future, Quang Tri province will invite explorers to fully survey Van Tien Cave.
