Paintings of Hanoi on the day of liberation by talented artists are on display at the exhibition Hanoi: Vitality and Faith on the first floor of Building B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The exhibition is organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). The exhibition introduces 70 paintings, graphics, and sculptures selected from the modern art collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum. The works have diverse materials, rich visual language, and their own style and mark, but all share the sincere feelings of the artists for Hanoi.

The exhibition brings images of Hanoi in a long historical period, from the time of seething revolutionary spirit before 1945, clearly shown through the work "Capturing the NorthernPalace" by artist Tran Dinh Tho; "Coming to heroic Hanoi in the early days of the resistance war" shown through works such as "Nga Tu So Citadel", "Cho Mo" by artist Nguyen Van Ty, " Hanoi in 1947 " by artist Cong Van Trung, "Capital of Resistance" by artist Nguyen Quang Phong... And especially the image of Hanoi, brilliant with flags and flowers welcoming the troops to liberate the capital on October 10, 1945, shown through many beautiful paintings. Such as " Hanoi at Liberation Night " (Le Thanh Duc), "Hanoi Liberation" by Trinh Thiep, "Hang Duong Street" (Trinh Huu Ngoc), "The Joy of Liberation" (Tran Khanh Chuong), "Liberating the Capital" by Dinh Viet Luc... Or the happiness of welcoming peace in the work "Joyfully welcoming peace" by Nguyen Sang.
In addition, the exhibition also introduces beloved images of Uncle Ho with the capital during the peaceful years such as the works Uncle Ho with Gia Lam railway workers by painter Pham Van Lung, Uncle Ho visiting the elementary school by painter Do Huu Hue...

Viewers can also discover a beautiful, quiet, ancient and peaceful Hanoi through the works of Bui Xuan Phai, Tran Binh Loc, Nguyen Tien Chung... Hanoi is beautiful in the collective production labor of a time as in the works Bat Trang Pottery Workers by Hoang Van Thu, Dinh Cong (Rice Boat) by Pham Thanh Liem, Dinh Cong Planter by Nguyen Van Binh... Or works depicting the construction of the capital such as the works of painters Pham Van Don, Vu Duy Nghia, Kim Thai, Nguyet Nga.

In the exhibition space, there is also an activity to experience woodblock printing. On October 12, 2024, there will be an art talk show with the theme of Famous Painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem.- the person who connects traditional and contemporary aesthetic values in the exhibition space.
