More than 400 athletes participated in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Run in Kim Anh commune

On the morning of September 21, Kim Anh commune organized the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025, celebrating the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Anh Commune Doan Hiep emphasized that the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run is a traditional sports activity, contributing to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", building a healthy lifestyle in the community. Each tournament is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of solidarity, exchange and learn, and select outstanding athletes to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace in 2025.

In this year's final competition, Kim Anh commune has many components and subjects participating in the competition, including: Junior high school and high school students, officials, civil servants, employees, workers and armed forces. Athletes compete in 6 events, from 800 to 1,600m. The Organizing Committee ensures the competition route is secure, safe and convenient for people, officials and party members in the commune to cheer and encourage.

Before the official competitions took place, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Kim Anh commune participated in a run to encourage the local mass sports movement.

To successfully organize the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 in Kim Anh commune, since August 2025, the People's Committee of Kim Anh commune has requested villages, schools, agencies and units to develop plans, establish teams, select athletes and actively participate in training. The commune also established a medical and security working group, and implemented a plan to ensure safety in the competition area. Thanks to that, at the final round, more than 400 athletes met the health standards to participate.

After a morning of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 12 consolation prizes to athletes finishing 1-5 in each competition category.

The best athletes of Kim Anh commune showed their determination to win high prizes in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025, held at the end of September.

Director of the Kim Anh Commune Culture - Information and Sports Center Tran Thi Thu Ha said that after this competition, the Organizing Committee will select the 24 best athletes to train and represent the commune to participate in the final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace in 2025.
